[SOLVED] CPU and GPU wont be fully utilized

Graphic card: Gainward GeForce RTX 2080 Phoenix GS (core = 2100mhz, memory = 7800mhz)
RAM: 16GB DDR4 @2933
Core: AMD Ryzen 5 2600x 6 cores @4ghz (Auto Clocked)
Power Supply: Seasonic FOCUS Plus Gold 550W


So when i play games, i noticed that i sometimes got quite low fps (for example Gta dropping to 40 ~ 50 sometimes in online) so i used afterburner to check my componends on how they're performing. I did a Gta benchmark while having afterburner on to demonstrade the performance issues i get (

) . For example if you check minute 2:16 and following, you'll see how my gpu and cpu usage goes to 50% and giving me 50 - 60 fps, in online mode even less. My cpu temps had a maximum of 70°C and my gpu a maximum of 65°C. I use a 1080p, 144hz monitor and my game is set to 144hz. All other settings are maxed out or atleast at high. My Powersettings in the Nvidia control panel are set to maximum performance.

GTA 5 is one of the worst optimized games made. Their bread and butter is consoles and PC ports of their games are usually an after thought. Don't fret it.

Yeah but this also happens in other games. I just used gta as an example. Like i get low fps and my cpu/gpu are doing nothing

Total cpu usage is meaningless, you need to monitor all cores/threads. It only takes 1 at 100% to limit performance.
