I am trying to stream while gaming on escape from tarkov, destiny 2, diablo 3, possibly anthem, black ops 4.

I currently have

Msi B150m bazooka plus
I5 6600k (cant oc due to mb)
24 gb 2133 ram
Rtx 2070
3 monitors one of which is 144hz
2 ssds one for games one for os
And a 1tb hdd for random storage

I am looking at miltiple mb but I am unsure to go with intel, because of their recent issues, or ryzen 7 2700x.

I am leaning more ryzen just can never get a clear answer whether which one is better.

I am also open with going with a threadripper but I was told that it would not perform the way others would for gaming.

Looking for some ideas for how I should go, money not hugely an issue as I'm not in a rush so I can save if I get clear answers to do so.

Definitely Don't go thread ripper for gaming.

The biggest downside I see for you is if you want a 2700x to work to it's best you'll need new ram, if you built an Intel setup you could reuse your ram which would make a 9700k/z390 setup similar priced to a 2700x. Usually I suggest ryzen over Intel but in your case I wouldn't

The ryzen setup might be a bit cheaper but the 8700k is a better 144hz gamer so that's not much a premium to pay for it (originally thought 9700k but basically same performance as 8700k for $100 more)

The 9700k and 8700k are basically the exact same performance. So unless you mean the 9900k no.

Yes you have to change ram with ryzen but it still comes out a good bit cheaper.... And it's also likely in June or July ryzen 3000 will come out and be compatible with your board.

I have your suggestions on pc part picker saved so I can monitor price fluctuations I'll see what I can do when the 3000 series drops and if I dont like the price points for the ryzen then I'll most likely go the intel route. Thanks for the input!
