Hi all,

I need to replace my motherboard and CPU as currently my i7 8700k is more less the best i can get out of my mobo.

I got a 3060ti and dont plan on changing my graphics card for the next couple of years.

What would be a good upgrade keeping the cost as low as possible (Xmas gift from wife)

Intel not AMD

Full specs

1440p monitor 2k gaming
I7 8700K not OC
RTX 3060TI
16BG CORSAIR RAM 3600mhz
1TB HDD
2TB SSD
CURRENT MOBO Z370 A-PRO MSI
POWER UNIT AT 650W
WINDOWS 10

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

what is your exact budget? Why no AMD?

No exact budget but im guessing like £300-£400 if that is enough?

Not sure about AMD i have always used Intel.
I wouldn't be afraid to try something new, I was an intel user until I decided to try AMD and I love it. Sure I may be a bit biased coming from an i5 6500 to an R7 7700x, but that doesn't mean it is not a good product. If you want to go AMD, it would be slightly more expensive, but it may be worth it for longer term upgradability. If you go intel, the 14th gen is the last generation on the current motherboard.
