My current specs are
Ga-78LMT-USB3 mobo
AMD FX(tm) - 4300 QuadCore Processor
Gtx 1060 6GB
Corsair Cx 550w power supply

I’m looking to upgrade the cpu but I’m unsure of which one to go with. What do you think would pair nicely with the gpu and if you could recommend a good motherboard as well, that would be great. Thanks

I’d prefer AMD and budget is around $350 or so

A new CPU would also mean new motherboard and RAM. So here's a few components, about 28$ over budget but you can skip ordering take-out for a couple days eh?

PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/CDsJ6s

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor ($189.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK ATX AM4 Motherboard ($111.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($76.98 @ Amazon)
Total: $378.96
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Or if you want to stay under 350 then get a 2600 instead of a 3600 CPU. The board will still be compatible.

Thank you so much. I really appreciate your help!
