Hi,

My system is aging pretty much and a friend has an Ryzen 5 5600x and MSI B550 M/B, along with 32gb RAMand 550W PSU.
Thinking of getting the same stuff as dont have a big budget, can anyone recomend something more newer around the same budget??
Have seen the 5600x perform excellent as ill be doing same stuff as my friend...

thanks,
nick

My thoughts. 1) I love cheap but would recommend a 750W PSU. the transient power spikes in some of the new GPUs are driving this. I like EVGA for decently priced mid range power supplies (watch for sales). 3070s are starting to drop on the used market, and will be lower after Christmas. In the future, buy just before Thanksgiving...sellers know people splurge on holidays. 550-570 MoBos are solid for DDR4 and solid for at least the next 2-3 years. Unless you are running Blender or rendering, 16gb will be fine. Invest in cheaper options right now (M.2 1T drives are a good price right now). I have a cheap 2 GB 480 card you can have if you want, so you can wait for gpu prices to come down
