CPU and Motherboard issue help!!!

Okay, so I've just upgraded my pc from a i7 3770 to a i7 4790K and also changed motherboards... new Mobo MSI Z97S Krait and old Mobo Gigabyte Z68X and I can't tell if evrything is installed i didn't have to reinstall Windows 8.1 and I'm confused why i didn't have too? Do I have to look through all the old drivers from the old mobo? I don't know please help? 🙁

If a retail version of windows is installed then your pc is all good. only an OEM version of windows requires a new copy of your OS

If the chipsets are similar, you may not need to re-install Windows, it's not always needed, just most of the time and is a good idea anyway to install a clean Windows setup when changing motherboards even if it boots OK. Go to Gigabyte's support site and install the drivers for your motherboard from there.
