CPU and Motherboard Upgrade Question

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400s 2.66GHz
Motherboard: P5Q PRO
Ram: 4x 2 gigabyte 800MHz
GPU: 2x Asus Radeon HD7850-V2 (2 GDDR5 each) in Crossfire

Looking to upgrade from my ancient Motherboard and CPU setup. Interested in a Asus B85M-E, and a Intel Pentium G3260 (will get an i5 later in the year). Is this new setup going to be an improvement on what I currently have, and will this bottleneck my GPU crossfire setup?

The Asus B85 and the G3260? I consider it a downgrade. You're downgrading from being able to play 4 core games to being locked out of a few games that limit to 4 cores and above.

The Pentium G3260 is a downgrade by 3% in performance... even the G3258 which is the faster CPU of the Pentium G series is only 16% faster than the Core2 Quad Q9400... I'd suggest saving the $70 the Pentium G3260 would cost to get a better Core i5 or motherboard than originally planed.

No... Q9400 has 4 cores. Pentium has 2 and no HyperThreading, therefore will be blocked from launching certain games.
