CPU and Motherboard Upgrade Suggestions

Hey guys, I'm thinking of upgrading my CPU, which I have no choice but to replace my motherboard as well cause I'm stuck with these FM2+ sockets. I'm thinking about intel, an i7. Currently running an XFX 390X with 16 gbs of G.SKILL ripjaws RAM, any suggestions?

If you want to use your current DDR3 ram a Z97 , board is the way to go with a 6700k.
