CPU and RAM settings.

I have an Asus Motherboard with an AMD 64 4000 and I recently bought 4 GIGS of RAM my computer says I have 3.44 GIGS which is fine. How do I change the latency to insure I am getting the best out of my CPU and RAM?

In the bios you can change the numbers.
Run memtest86+ and test for errors if you tighten the timings.
