Hi all!

I am upgrading my RAM and CPU, and had a question about CAS latency. I can find information on the MT/s rating for both my CPU and mobo, but can’t find information on lowest CAS latency supported.

I’m using a Rog Maximus Z690 Hero Eva Edition mobo, a 13900k and would like to get 5600 MT/s (highest MT/s supported) and the lowest CAS possible. The profiles in XMP populated based on the RAM, so I only know the CAS compatibility for my old RAM.

I have no way of verifying the CAS capabilities of my new CPU and mobo combination.

Any advice?

Thanks!

I would just raise be careful not to overpay for slightly faster timings, in most cases you wont see the difference and they can charge alot more for a marginal performance gain.

5600 isn't the fastest ram on that board. It was just the fastest ram Asus had tested at the time the web page was updated. Ram speeds are now hitting 6400/6600MHz and will be no issue with latest bios.
