ok, you have a locked cpu (no overclocking) paired with a Z87 motherboard meant for overclocking (which is the older version, you would want 97). if you're not going to overclock, you don't need the Z87 or the cpu cooler. so you can afford a better cpu and motherboard, you just wouldn't be overclocking. go with 2x4GB (dual channel RAM) instead of 1x8GB. the newer wd black is faster, and also cheaper :)
