Hello,

today I upgraded my RAM from 2x8 G.Skill Ripjaws to 2x16 GB Corsair Vengeance Pro 32000 MHz.

Since then my CPU shoots up to 100% usage in almost every game I start (Mass Effect Andromeda, Need for Speed Heat, Red Dead Redemption 2, Death Stranding)
Before the RAM upgrade, the CPU usage was usually around ~40% in most games. I already made a clean new install of Win10 but that didn't help.

My System:
AMD Ryzen 5 3600 WRAITH 3600 AM4
Asus ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING
2x16 GB Corsair Vengeance Pro 32000 MHz DDR4
Tt TR2 S 700W ATX23
EVGA 8GB D6 RTX 3060 Ti FTW3 ULTRA
Windows 10

Anyone got an idea?

You just gave the CPU more to work with now it's working double time to due it's job with double the memory

This has nothing to do with 32gb of ram I don't get the CPU 100% in games.
In addition, the CPU on AMD never reaches 100% utilization and is stay static, its utilization will always be variable.
It was something I noticed using AMD processors.

- Checks processor temperatures.

I am, is that wrong?
This is where it showed me ~40% usage before the upgrade

The Task Manager is not very reliable to information, the percentages are not completely real.
Use this program to check CPU usage.
Test and then say it appears in terms of percentages.

So HWiNFO showed ~75-100%, at first when I started the game, it was also at 100%, then it slowly went down to ~93%, after like 5 min playing it went down to ~75-85% and stayed there.
But I feel like that's still too much, or am I wrong!?

You also have to take into account that you have a 3060ti to be showing 100% is normal, that's why I said that the percentages are variable, they never stay fixed.

Your processor is already weak so it is already at maximum with this graphics, but I believe you don't have any kind of bottleneck.
So everything is normal, I just found it strange that you said that the processor is 100%

hm. I tested with Cyberpunk now, and here the CPU usage according to HWiNFO was ~44% (according to Task Manager 50%) and the GPU was 73% according to HWiNFO and 2% according to Task Manager (yea... that doesn't seem right)

I wonder why a game like Cyberpunk has so much less CPU usage compared to older games like Need for Speed Heat and Mass Effect Andromeda.

Some games use more CPU resources than GPU, hence this difference.

To be honest with you the CPU might be bottlenecking which makes the CPU work at 100% making other components work less like the GPU. Definitely no the ram. The CPU should be running around 15 to 30% while running a game not 100%.
You need a new CPU and heres a link for a good CPU https://www.amazon.com/AMD-Ryzen-56...d=1673750415&sprefix=ryzne,aps,77&sr=8-2&th=1
