Hi, So recently My processor Has been getting to insane levels of heat. I was playing the Sims and My computer was Extremely loud. So I get on speccy and check the Heat And my processor was at 105 Degrees Celsius! So I thought i might have needed to thermal paste as I hadn't Changed it in a while. I just got it today and it was only about ten degrees Cooler! Should I get a new fan? I don't want to keep spending money On things that wont really fix the issue.

I have a AMD A10-6800K If that Helps with anything. I'm also Still using the stock fan.

But the thing is I've never really messed with it The last thing I did to the Computer Was put in New thermal paste But The CPU was Getting Extremely Hot Prior to putting the new thermal paste inside

To be honest looking that he is using an APU I doubt he has bought a dedicated graphics card.

On topic, for the temps to be that high, as previously suggested something must be wrong with the installation of your CPU cooler.

Make sure it is properly seated on the CPU and make sure you haven't put too much thermal paste, or not enough.

I had actually Just Opened it up And cleaned the Cooler again And I Cleaned it For about 20 minutes Then i Made sure it was properly Seated And it still Was at 80 Degrees, I just submitted a ticket on AMD so hopefully they tell me what to do

Just in case you have not solved the issue...

I have heard that the AMD APU's have some issue where the temperatures are often misread with software. I would check it in the bios if you have that ability and see what it shows there.

Also if you can spare the extra thermal paste you might check and make sure that you put on enough but not too much and re-seat the cooler.

On another note - I have an i5 and I just had an issue where the constant vibration of the PC made the mounting for the cooler come loose, so I had to re-seat the cooler and it started working better and dropped the temperature like 10 degrees C.

Actually Weird thing is that I Looked at speccy And it still says it is at about 70 Degrees BUT its Hopping Around SO much I Wasn't sure if it was right So i downloaded Speedfan and it said my CPU temp was at 42 Degrees So Now I'm not sure what to believe.

Does your motherboard have the ability to load bios while running Windows? If so I would check the heat of the CPU there. Both of my MSI board allow bios to run inside Windows - so I do not need to reboot/shutdown the computer.

Good temps, it appears your problem was incorrect software readings.
I always check bios and a couple of software monitors just to make sure of correct readings.
Speccy is good software, but all monitors can be wrong at times so a check with the bios and other monitors is a good practice. Never completely trust just one.
