This is my processor:
http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K10/AMD-Athlon%20II%20X4%20640%20-%20ADX640WFK42GM%20(ADX640WFGMBOX).html

Since my motherboard's second RAM slot is busted, I am planning to buy a new AM3+ motherboard because I still want to use the said CPU.

But my question is, according to its specs:
Supported memory: DDR2-1066, DDR3-1333

But this is the motherboard I am planning to buy:
http://www.lazada.com.ph/asrock-n68gs4-fx-motherboard-r20-5381626.html?mp=1

With this RAM:
http://www.lazada.com.ph/avexir-core-series-4gb-1600mhz-pc3-12800-ddr3-15v-led-dimm-fordesktop-blue-4530010.html

CPU support is 1066(DDR2) and 1333(DDR3)
Motherboard supports 1333 to 1866
RAM is 1600 Mhz

Will this work?

Solution
That motherboard uses the fairly terrible nForce chipset, you would do well to pick a different motherboard if possible.

As for the Ram, the CPU will support it, there really isn't much benefit with that processor to get faster ram, if you do run into stability issues you can always downclock it to 1333 mhz anyway.

Thanks for the quick response! :)
But the thing is, from where I am, AM3/AM3+ motherboards are sort of phased out 🙁 I have been going from store to store with no luck, that site only has that as the only mobo that can support my CPU, and my build as it is right now, is dying :pfff:

We have some users with it. It will work don't get me wrong and in a hard place, it will do the job. There are just better choices out there, but if they aren't available to you....

now you are making me think twice :??:
its just that there are none available to me from where I am 🙁

that is noted, thank you so much for your input! :)
