CPU - Auto OC?

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600

I was using MSI Afterburner today and noted that my CPU reported a max speed of 3700 MHz on a few cores and 3400 MHz on a few others. I loaded up HWMonitor and it reported a max of around 3700 MHz on all the cores (give or take 100 MHz)

Does Ryzen come with an auto overclock or is my software having a moment?

AMD Ryzen can auto boost a few cores when needed, similar to Intel's TurboBoost feature. The 1600 has a boost feature to 3.7ghz, any higher would require a manual overclock. Your CPU is working as intended.
