Cpu bottleneck (battlefield 1)

So , i am playing bf1 with i5 7400 and gtx 1070 (stock) on a FREAKING 720P MONITOR. I KNOW, IT IS VERY Removed. BUT, i am going to buy a 1440p 60hz monitor soon. my main question is : will i be able to run bf1 smoothly on 1440p?

In 720p Gpu load is really small (35-40%) and cpu load is around 70-90 % and when Removed is going on, it hits 100%

With a 1070 on a 7400 @1440 you should be able to get High if not Ultra settings, no problem.

1440p will put more load on gpu but you'll notice with Bf1 your cpu will still be at high usage levels. Bf1 does benefit more cores and also Hyperthreading. Many have tested with 4 cores and found dips in fps / gpu usages.

Playing in 1440p may minimise cpu bottleneck slightly but not enough. Need a cpu with HT or a cpu with 6cores.

Thank for the replies, and one question , the jump from 720p to 1440p , is big, right? (I havent seen an 1440p monitor myself)

Yes quite a big jump, be like 1080p going on 4k. 27" is a good size for 1440p.

I play in 1440p and I've found is the resolution is crisp enough not to use any antialiasing, just raw resolution.
