Currently have an RX 480 8 GB with my (horrible) AMD A10 7800 CPU. Yes, there's an extreme CPU bottleneck. I am looking to upgrade CPU'S, while staying under the $200 price. Don't worry about my mobo, i'll take care of that as long as i can find good CPU with my 480.

Solution
Unfortunately, you can't really do much better on your current FM2+ mobo. A worthwhile CPU upgrade really requires a new motherboard, with all modern motherboards also requiring DDR4. $200 is not enough for that... You could possible do a bare minimum Pentium, ultra cheap mobo and bare minimum RAM for $200, but that's kind of a side-grade, depending on the game.

While the A10s are hardly the best, I'm a bit surprised you're seeing an "extreme" bottleneck. Which games are you seeing that in? What's the GPU utilisation while you're playing (use GPU-Z or similar to monitor).

Just a CPU under $200.

Yes the Ryzen 5 1500X is looking like a great choice to me. It looks to be as fast as the i5-7500 but with SMT (simultaneous multi-threading), so twice the CPU thread count to help further eliminate any CPU bottlenecking. You will need a new motherboard and DDR4 RAM.

i5-7500 is also a good choice though.

* I forgot about seeing this benchmark video with an overclock Ryzen 5 1400 ( which should equal the stock 1500X) still falling behind the i5-7400 for the most part. But the Ryzen 5 has those extra threads which will help in some more CPU intensive parts of games and will likely outperform in future titles. Will be better to see all the benchmarks that follow its release tomorrow.
