CPU causing fps drops? i5 4690k

Well i just replaced my gtx 960 with an rx580 4gb and it runs good.. i guess. In titles like bf1 and arma 3 i get really bad fps drops pretty frequently like when i zoom in , in arma and just randomly in bf1. It has to be my cpu i just updated my bios, everythings up to date.
i5 4690k @4GHz - Hyper evo 212
rx 580 4gb
12gb ddr3 1600
1tb hdd and 240gb <- Could also be my hdd's
500w evga psu

I have that CPU and its still a pretty decent gaming chip. Do you think it could be a driver issue? you might want to make sure you do a thorough cleanup. Also this is online games - could it be any network latency? Do you have any games that's single player you can try that's not network dependent to check your fps?

Your setup looks more then capable of kicking those games there and back. It is more likely just a software problem - either old nvidia drivers are causing this, or (considering 580 is quite fresh) amd drivers still need some polishing.

Well i just installed a bunch more drivers for my mobo msi krait sli edition. Havnt tried yet but ill try bf1 single player. I used ddud to uninstall all nvidia drivers.
