Hello, is possible to change cpu on my samsung ativ book 2, it has only 1,10 ghz cpu speed, so I wanna change it, can I and which one can I buy for my laptop? My cpu now has 2 cores and cpu is from intel

Solution
okay, so the cpu's socket is BGA1023. I have found some other processors that fit this socket such as the *Intel Core i5 3380M*. what processor you get to replace the old one depends on how much you are willing to spend on it ~.~ so if you don't mind me asking, what is your price range? May I ask why your replacing your processor? Obviously to gain some kind of performance increase but in what area (multitasking, program load speed, etc)? There are many easier/more budget friendly ways to increase performance by changing hardware e.g. getting an SSD(increase all read and write times e.g. faster loading for everything) and more RAM (increase multitasking).
Sadly it is likely that it will be very difficult for you to replace the cpu on your laptop (not saying it's impossible just telling you before hand that it is not the easiest/best price thing to do). i just googled your laptop name and i'm afraid samsung gave me this result:

http://www.samsung.com/nz/consumer/pc-peripherals/notebook-pc/essential/NP270E5E-X01AU-spec

samsung says it has an i5 which based on what you've said, it doesn't. If you reply to this answer and tell me the exact processor type (e.g. intel atom z520) i will check out cpus that will possibly fit the same socket (the part of the computer that the processor is put into).

I personally don't recommend doing this though, and manufacturers don't like giving you this option either 🙁 . If you are looking for a performance boost try some of the following:
- try installing LXDE ubuntu 12.04 as your second OS (this works incredibly well on less powerful laptops/desktops
- try increasing the ram if possible (this is alot easier than replacing the processor + it is likely that you can use new RAM with the ram in your laptop).
-check out this article from lifehacker http://lifehacker.com/192585/the-15-minute-windows-xp-tune+up
(im guessing xp as ur os)
