CPU Choice Ryzen 7 1700 or Inte I7 8700

First of all I have 2 monitors 1920x1080 and 2560x1440. Video Card GPU 1070
Most of the time I will use the pc on poker many tables and some software like Oracle,Poker Traker,Tournament shark,Skype Team viewer.

I will use some time in the games,movies.

Can you give me an opinion please what should I choose?

i7 8700 is much faster, and much more expensive.

Ryzen is slower, cheaper.

But likely the Ryzen 7 1700 is fast enough that "poker many tables and some software like Oracle,Poker Traker,Tournament shark,Skype Team viewer." will appear to run at the same speed on either system.

Games will play better on the i7, now and in the future. The i7 is a lot faster.

what is your budget? both cpus will appear about even in your usage you most likely wouldn't notice a difference even with an older cpu for your usage
