CPU choose for productivity

Hello guys, i was always wonder what cpu i should aim for when i will buy new one. i would use it for heavy photoshop use like working with big size canvas/ meny layers/ and big heavy textured brushes. Currently am not planning to buy new cpu
but after 1-2years am planning to upgrade system with new new motherboard and pcie ssd.

am looking forward to 7th generation cpu but anyway that's not the point, main question is should i invest to expensive cpu for 300-400eur i7 or will i be fine with some i5?

You won't see much improvement from a i5 to i7. How about getting a 6600K and overclocking a bit? Most of photoshop still runs in single threaded mode after all
