If I'm focus on using my CPU for rendering only, should I go for AMD or Intel. I have been using Intel for a while and people keep telling if I'm focus on rendering I should change to AMD. How much is the different in the same price point?

For rendering? 100% amd. Intel is just not worth it at this point. The only reason to go intel is because you want to squeeze out every drop of fps you can get from a game in which intel wins amd by a small margin in gaming only. The rest, amd wins. AMD is better, and up until recently, the margin was seriously huge. Even now, Intel lags behind in productivity by quite a bit. However, how specific the difference is cannot be said for sure until you tell us what your budget for the upgrade is. For example, if we consider CPU's around the $500 mark, then Intel offers the 9900K in the sub-500 range, and the 10900K in the slightly above 500 range. AMD offers the Ryzen 9 3900XT and 3900X, both under $500, and they have more cores than both the 9900K and the 10900K. They are not faster in 100% benchmarks, but slightly ahead in most, and slightly behind in a few. Considering value, the 3900X is almost in a different league than the Intel competitors. So I'd wholeheartedly recommend going with AMD regardless of budget, actually.

Trend is like this, especially if you compare similar priced builds.
intel is faster for turbo time (~2 minutes from start) then it downclocks, while amd rides ~99% of its power as long as your pc is not red hot.

There is one very specific place where Intel wins, but you will use it ~2-10% of your time so there is no point.

Unless you work with things that take less than a 2 minutes to render, AMD will be superior.
