[SOLVED] CPU Clean Enough? Installing a new cooler on a prebuilt.

I’m installing a new cooler and was wondering if I’ve cleaned the thermal paste off the cpu enough. It seems to have been applied hastily by the manufacturer, first time doing this, so apologizes for the noobish question.

Seems like it's a nonconductive thermal paste or you would've had problems already. It's not pretty, but clean enough to work.

Yes it's clean enough, the residual paste around the sides won't cause you a problem if it's non conductive which the vast majority are. It's more social etiquette than anything else.
