cpu clock speed

when i use my cpu at 4 ghz and play games then my pc sht down . when i decreas the clock speed then it works due to this i am not able to use 4 ghz clock speed i have fx-8350 8 core 4 ghz cpu

That usually means it's overheating, it's a security measure to keep the CPU/mobo from burning out. Use a better cooler 😉. I'd recommend an 212 Evo I have it on my i7-2700k and I can go to 4.7 Ghz with it.
