Cpu compatibility with am2+ motherboard

Hi, I have an am2+ motherboard that I like experiment with and I found an amd athlon 2 x4 630 lying around. Is the athlon 2 x4 630 compatible with my am2+ motherboard? Thank you for your time, have a nice day.

What motherboard do you have specifically?

Only knowing it's AM2+ is kind of useless.

The AMD Athlon II X4 630 needs a AM3 socket - so you will not be able to use with your AM2+ socket based motherboard
