Hi

I have xfx ts 5500w psu, k58 case and asus z170 pro gaming mobo. I have a problem with connecting CPU power cable into its socket. Its connected now and running fine for almost 2 weeks, but i had to twist the "head" pin almost 360 degrees to match it into socket from back of the case and its like 3-4 cm loose only. Am I doing something wrong or is it intended to be like this if i want my cable to go from behind of my case? Wont it damage itself after time when its twisted like this?

what i mean is that it isnt too short to pin it, but when doing it from back of the case(behind motherboard) i have to rotate it 360 degrees. With my old motherboard i havent got this problem because 4 pin was facing same direction as slot.

Its something like here on the picture. On the left is how i was connecting my old motherboard and on the right is the cable how it has to be rotated at the end to fit into socket.

If it works, you are ok.
But, I do not like stressing a connector to the point where some of the cables might become disconnected.
A couple of bucks for an extension would give me peace of mind.

It cant be disconnected, because its really hard to remove those cables while they are in socket:p. Bu the cable isnt tightened at all, its just "bended" 360 degrees like plasteline to fit the socket. Thats what iam worried about if this metal like cable inside wont just "crack".

I dont see how cable extender would help me, if i want to connect it from the back i have to rotate the connector 360 degree or otherwise it wont fit cpu socket. Iam amazed noone connecting 8 pin from back havent this issue

Here are some pictures:

First ones are how it was and sec one how it is now. And on one of the photos i saw scratches on cable.... . Are those safe? This cable robbing is thick?

The photos helped. The cable doesn't look tight or stressed at all. You have nothing to worry about.
