CPU cooler bracket doesn't fit correctly.

I have a Coolermaster masterliquid lite 120 and a GIGABYTE GA-AB350N-Gaming mobo. Im trying to install the bracket piece to the backside of the mobo for the cpu cooler, but it doesn't fit over all 4 holes. Am I missing something or is there a certain way to do this. I have attached pictures below.

Also this is my first AMD processor I've ever owner so not sure if there is something I'm just overlooking.

Hopefully this can get answered still. I received the adapter kit today and now I'm having a issue with the retention bracket and the cooler. The CM install guide shows the piece going into the cooler which isn't possible. The piece and install guide to reference is rl-am4b-mlps-r1

Now, that i rechecked the site, the lite version is listed as out of the box compatible.
Not sure what happened.

Yea CM helped me figure that out. Turns out I was missing a piece.
