CPU cooler doesn’t fit in mobo

I have read other threads on this topic however they do not have the same issue I have. I am certain I have the right motherboard and the right cooler because it’s the stock cooler. So the issue is that the cooler doesn’t fit in the holes cut out for it. It seems as like it’s too small even tough it’s the right chipset and socket. It fits in 3 of the holes but I can’t seem to get the last one in. Could this be a factory defect and should I send it back or should I try to fix it myself?

I have a Asus prime B250-PRO and a Intel i5 7500

Can you post a clear picture of the cooler in place and another of the cooler itself?
Never came across that before.
