Hey everyone. I just got the Cryorig H5 Universal cooler.

I got this model for the cooling (and does a great job) but it's supposed to be silent.
It's really important for me to eliminate all noise inside my room for recordings and the fan makes this weird sizzling sound like it's scraping something. It's not though.

Anyone got an idea what it could be?

I'd recommend just buying one from them if your claim doesn't work out: http://www.cryorig.com/product.php

I have a Noctua D15S and its improvement on my temps is outstanding, and it's very quiet. Got over the ugly colour. Their fans are really good, a lot of research goes into them.

Yes it does. It's balanced pretty well. I took it off the radiator and used my fingers to spin it a bit. It makes that *shhhhh* sound. Don't get me wrong, it's not VERY loud, but I don't think that it should be there. For example my be quiet case fan's only sound is the air moving.

EDIT: Nice profile picture.

Thanks. And yeah it sounds like something is internally damaged (probably the bearing system they've chosen). Contact Cryorig or buy another fan for it.
I'm sure they would be send you one if you provide them with enough evidence.

I just contacted them. Hopefully they'll get back to me.

What other fans would suit my needs for cooling great and being VERY silent?

I'm thinking noctua but something more like an industrial, which is black and not that ugly brown.

I consider Noctua the best air cooler company. I just couldn't put a brown thing in my set up. As for my claim, I really hope they at least consider it, I've posted evidence as well. If not, I wonder if that bigger cryorig fan will cut it.
