CPU cooler fan

If you are talking about the actual fan installation (not the fan's cable connection to the motherboard), it depends.

Fan slots of typical cases are usually for 120mm-size and 140mm-size fans (though older cases have screw holes for smaller fan sizes). CPU cooler fans, usually (not always) are 92mm fan size and below. There are selected CPU coolers though that have 120mm and/or 140mm fans.

So, the CPU cooler fan will fit if the size of the fan matches the screw holes on the case. If it doesn't, then you are forced to buy an adapter (for example: https://www.amazon.com/Nexus-80mm-92mm-120mm-Converter/dp/B002C7IQ1O ). Logically though, it's better to just buy an appropriately-sized case fan for about the same price as an adapter, especially for better airflow/less noise than using a small CPU fan to cool the case.
