will be purchasing a new rig soon and will be getting 5600x as my cpu..

did some read up and saw some users mention the stock cooler sucks and i am thinking of getting a cpu air cooler for it.

not overclocking but will be using pc for long periods each day and not intending to use liquid cooling.

my shortlisted cpu air cooler:

  1. Noctua NH-D15 or D14 (price might be higher though)
  2. cooler master hyper 212
  3. be quiet pure rock 2
  4. be quiet dark rock pro 4

any advice on which air cooler to get? for my new rig i will also install 3 more casing fans and will be selecting P400a as my case.

Solution
If you're not overclocking, then give the stock cooler a try. Often times people complain of the noise or how it looks or how bad it is when you perform an overclock with it. You can save the amount for something else on your build...or just have lunch after the build is complete.

Sure thing. Wraith Stealth may be cool as chipset cooler, but not for CPU indeed.

Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 4 on 5800X here. Cool (~68C when gaming) and silent as expected. Most likely 5600X be even cooler. Noctua NH-D15 also is great. If your RAM doesn't have oversized fins or you have 2 RAM modules, I would pick between these two which is cheaper in your side at the moment.

That's quite a spread of coolers you got there, hyper 212 and pure rock 2 are few steps on cooling ladder below the other 2. They would be a bit better than OEM but for peace and quiet the other 2 are more worth their money.
