CPU cooler for Asus Maximus VI Extreme + 4770k

Hi,

I'm looking for a CPU fan+heatsink with similar specs than Noctua NH-U14S. Compatibility list at Noctua's site specifies that it will collide with GPU if it is installed in the first slot. This was a bummer, because Noctua NH-U14S was exactly what I was looking for and I want to keep the GPU in the first PCIe slot (in order to have 16x speed).

If someone knows about any cooler (preferably not taller than the abovementioned, 16.5 cm, due to case space restrictions) and exclusively air cooled (not liquid)...

I plan to do some overclock on the i7 4770k, so it would have to handle it gently.

That's odd that it would be problematic. An old co-worker had this installed on his 1150 setup: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103189

The thing seemed bigger in person. He was able to get his GTX 980 Ti to fit just fine in the 1st slot.

Nope, look at the comments:
