Hello everyone,

I'm going to be putting together a rig for a new friend. Everything on the list that she wants seems acceptable, however, the CPU cooler that is wanted is the Assassin IV, which is bit of a big boi. The motherboard is either going to be an ASUS TUF B650-Plus or the TUF X670E-Plus. I've never had the TUF models before so this will be a first for me, but I'm concerned that particular cooler may be a bit too wide due to the VRM heatsinks. I've done some research and since it's a relatively new cooler (From the looks of it), the incompatibility list is pretty scarce but I'm aware the B650M's will not work, but can't seem to find information for the standard size ATX versions. DeepCool couldn't answer this question either, so I'm stopping here to get any second opinions, and if needed, I'll suggest something for a better fit, as I don't want to tell her to get something and it not fit and put up with all that hassle. The RAM side shouldn't be an issue since only two low profile sticks will be used.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Also wasn't sure which spot to post this at as it involves both a cooler and MB. 😆

things to take into consideration first is the computer case first its not just width its depth of the pc case. the width also may play foul with the rear pc case fan as well ( i had this issue and needed to buy a slim fan .

that being said i would say both boards have vrms to high also if the first gpu slot on some boards can be covered over its not a very practical cooler lol.
