I recently upgrade a CPU from Celeron D 331 (256K Cache, 2.66 GHz, 533 MHz FSB) to a Pentium D 950 (4M Cache, 3.40 GHz, 800 MHz FSB). I know it's a mediocre cpu but that's best my motherboard can support.

I tested it with the Celeron D stock cooler and temp was around 70C at idle. So I replaced it with the old one till I'd find a better cooler. This is a very old pc, so don't wanna waste too much money on this.

I've been searching on eBay and was wondering if those unbranded Chinese coolers are any good. They looks promising though : ) If you could spare a moment to give advise on the following products that would be nice.

PWM LED Fan For Inter LGA775/1155/1156 AMD 754 939 AM2+ AM3

Heatsink Cooler Cooling Fan f Intel Pentium 4 LGA775 AMD ATHLON 64 FX Series

Zalman CNPS7000B-AlCu

COOLER MASTER DI5-9HDSL-0L-GP 95mm

CNPS7000B-AlCu and COOLER MASTER DI5-9HDSL-0L-GP does not list Pentium D in the compatible list BTW. Other branded listings on eBay seems pretty expensive to me, considering with the shipping cost. Even the Zalman CNPS7000B-AlCu will cost more than the CPU (used) alone.

My specs:
D101GGC (LGA775 Socket)
Nvidia GForce 9500 GT
2 GB ram

Pentium D's are the hottest running CPU's ever made. You will need at least a cooler with multiple heat pipes and at least 1 90MM fan. Basically the bigger the better. Make sure the heatsink has the correct screw pattern on the bottom. If it BTX there are several different screw patterns. ATX are all the same.
