I bought this HP motherboard off of ebay without realizing it was non-standard in almost every way. It doesn't even use a 20/24pin connector! Besides that, I've found workarounds for each issue until I ran into this one. The cooler I have doesn't fit with the holes on the board. Does anyone know what kind of cooler I can get that fits here (also I don't have a backplate for it either)

It's model number is 611835-001, and it's for LGA1155. The cooler I used with my old motherboard doesn't fit in this board. I believe it is a non-standard size from HP. The max height of a cooler is not an issue in the scenario I am using it for.

The cooler will fit if the other board was the same socket. The socket dimensions and specifications don't change from board to board or manufacturer to manufacturer. What MIGHT be different, it the mounting base or adapter. Some coolers require a backplate for mounting while others mount to the stock base. The stock base or mounting adapters might need to be reused from your old board. That board looks like a standard socket 1155 mounting to me.

It's exactly the same pattern and design as the ASUS Maximus V Formula, which is about as high end as it gets, and all the other boards look just like it. Can you provide an image of yours? Does it look like this:

Yeah, that's what it looks like exactly. The cooler I used to use with this same cpu in my old motherboard didn't fit in the rectangle shaped holes. It's mounting holes are in a square instead. I guess my old motherboard was non-standard? Could you find a cpu cooler that is as cheap as possible that looks like it would fit? I search for lga1155 cpu cooler, but all look like the square shape of holes like this http://www.pcstats.com/articleimages/201206/install1155_DSCF3446.jpg rather than in that image (the one I have)

See how in that picture the holes are much more rectangular shaped than in a normal lga1155 socket? The cooler I used to use's model number is 613789-001 which (if you look up pictures) has it's connectors in a square shape instead.

What CPU are you planning to use? A mITX narrow ILM server cooler intended for 140W TDP chips should be powerful enough if it will fit.

What is the hole spacing, center to center, in millimeters?

You may also be able to mod' a standard cooler on a narrow ILM backplate and mounting.

It seems that is a non-standard board, so you will either need to modify something, find a cooler meant for use on that non-standard mounting pattern or find an aftermarket cooler with the right back plate. Noctua coolers usually have adapters for all the most common mountings whether it's narrow, square or pissing on a spark plug. It would be best to verify the dimensions of the hole spacing, like DO has indicated.

I didn't delete it, I seriously considered using zip ties but the problem is that the pins on the cooler don't fit. Either way, I've found a solution by finding the original cooler on ebay. Thanks for the help everyone!

No, I deleted it, as it's not serious solution to the problem. It's a redneck remedy, which we try to avoid using here as this is a serious tech forum, not reddit.

Zip ties are fine for holding case fans in unusual places. A CPU cooler needs to be held steadily, firmly, and reliably, and without putting unusual stresses on the motherboard.

The flexible and thermal properties of zip ties prevent that and they would also stress the board.

Same issue here, holes are in a 100mm x 75mm pattern instead of the regular 75x75 1155 socket.

After multiple hours on google searching, this motherboard/cooler bolt pattern seems to be present on Elite 8200/8300 and the Z210/Z220.

Didn`t find any on Newegg... Any idea where I could find them?
