CPU Cooler Help

My CPU cooler (Hyper 212) currently covers my first ram slot, but i need it open due to a soon upgrade. Is there a way i can flip my CPU cooler and then put the fan on backwards to have the same effect?

Put it on the other side in a pull configuration it will only be a few degrees difference in cooling.
