I have two ways of angling my CPU cooler

  1. The way the instructions manual and YouTube videos show me
  2. The other way

Both seem to be possible. Any reasons why I could/should not do n2?

I'm asking because if I do it the "correct" way (1.), I have to unscrew my NVME heatsink to make enough room for CPU cooler, but if I do opposite side, then it seems to be fine, although not very pretty. And since I have an open case, I can't really see why it wouldn't work.

If it fits in your open case there's no reason for worry. The way shown in figure 1 does help cool the m.2 slot, though.
