Hi all,

Today I was giving my PC a clean and as my CPU cooler fan was full of dust, I detached the cooler and cleaned it. However, I had never done this before (Had my PC for 4 years) and since re-seating the cooler, I have had large performance issues i.e poor FPS in games. These have happened while browsing using Chrome and even more so when playing games (DotA 2, CSGO etc). Does anyone know the problem or a solution to the problem I am having?

In case someone needs them, my system specs are :

CPU - AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition
GPU - MSI GTX 970 Gaming Edition 4G
RAM - 8GB (4 x 2GB) Mushkin PC10600 1333MHz DDR3
Mobo - Asus M5A88-V EVO
PSU - Corsair CX750W
All fans etc are stock

Anything by Arctic, something on the Silver Line or MX line. I love arctic silver 5, but arctic MX-2 is what I always use and it does great! (Have some on an x4 860k right now)

Good luck.

The only thermal paste available in stores near me is Cooler Master IC Essential E2. Is this paste any good?
