I feel like I may have gone a bit cheap on a CPU Cooler for this build. I feel like if I am spending so much on a build I should be going for a slightly better cooler? Any recommendations? Thanks!
The one I've went for - Peerless Assassin - seems to be the very first one recommended on that link, so think I'll stick with it for now, thanks!Hey there,
There are lots of coolers more suitable. Here's just an example: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-cpu-coolers,4181.html
It should be fine. It's just that the thermal energy transfer isn't as effective, due to the extra z-height caused by the v-cache.That Peerless Assassin has been well reviewed as a very good budget priced cooler as compared to performance. 7800X3D good? Not sure...
Ah thanks. Just checked, and just barely clears it. Unfortunate though - covers most of the rgb!!Not a problem with the ram.
I assume that the height does not conflict with the case.
I've been told by other forum members that you want to avoid having the fan and ram touch. The vibrations from said fan can travel through the ram and damage the channels, given enough time.the fan on the right is literally sitting ontop of the memory sticks. Will this cause any issues?

We reviewed it not long ago!I would consider that since the OP has pictures posted of the "lesser" of these coolers that it is pretty much a closed case on that aspect. I would, however, be interested in more information supporting your claim. I am not familiar with the one you mention.
