My cryorig c7 is touching, if not extremely close to touching the top of the capacitors on an asus z170 progaming aura, no matter which direction I mount it. Im sure it is bad but would like some opinions and suggestions.

Solution
It is not ideal, but there shouldn't be much danger. Only problem could be heat from cooler, capacitors don't like heat, even if they are made to withstand it. But easiest way to fix this could be using 1mm copper shim between cpu and cooler to put cooler bit higher and not tightening its screws fully so pressure on cpu is about same with and without shim.

Solution
If the part of the cooler that's touching it gets uncomfortably warm when the CPU is under heavy load, it probably wouldn't be good. I would try a CPU stress test and feel that part of the cooler to get an idea of how warm it gets to better determine whether it's something to be concerned about.
