Cpu Cooler Upgrade or more RAM

So, here's my situation, I have ordered and FX 8350, and I have 2gb of RAM. I am aware that the stock cooler is not very good, and will probably need something more out of overclocking, and I am also aware that more RAM can increase system performance. I have 27 dollars and I am either going to end up with 4gb of RAM or a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus, which of the two would be more worth the buy? Thank you in advance.

My OS is Windows 7 Ultimate, so I don't think that's a problem.

If you are planning to overclock right off the bat and are using it for office work, then I would go with the cooler. If you are a gamer or someone who uses more graphically intensive software, I would go with the RAM. If you are leaving your CPU at it's base speeds, the included stock fan should always do fine. I have a hyper 212 myself and with my CPU at normal speeds, never gets too hot. I am short on RAM myself with 4gb (Every program has suffered from this shortage at least a little), so 2gb would probably be even worse I would imagine.

Also, I am pretty sure that you do not need to do anything with the BIOS to get 1600mhz RAM chips up to 1600mhz. What is the speed on your current 2gb RAM though? If you currently have 1333mhz RAM, and you plug in 1600mhz RAM, you will probably have some issues.

The new stick would probably default to 1333MHz anyway. My 1600MHz (now OC'ed to 1866MHz) ran at 1333MHz and I had to enable XMP to change it to the manufacturers settings.

Also, I would not suggest mixing different types of RAM. Many cases have them not running well together and can cause issues. I would say it is best to get a whole new set.
