Mesh, eehhhh, a great choice as well, although I am not quite sure how the design is, and if its pure copper or aluminum, the fan size , and if it is actually worth it, A link to your heatsink would be helpful.

As in a honeycomb structure?? I now RAM that uses this unique architecture, It cools passivly with minimum air flow.
But other than that, you want a heatsink that either PURE COPPER, or aluminum but large in diameter, the more surface it covers, the cooler it can get. Also be shure to check on heatpipe architecture, those tend to cool nicley with minimum fan cooling, hence runs cool and quiet.
