Hi
Can i use a 140mm case fan for my Noctua NH d15 chromax black?
Because i only got one 140mm fan in the box and i still dont got an answer from the webshop.

If you only got a single fan then you did not purchase the NH-D15 but instead purchased the NH-D15S, which only comes with a single fan. Unless of course you bought it from a questionable source and somebody removed one of the fans which you would be able to tell because the box would have clearly been previously opened (Most likely) and there would be an empty place in the box where the supposed missing fan should have been located. If there is not an empty spot where another fan should have been then you bought an NH-D15S.

Whether or not you should use ANY other fan ENTIRELY depends on the model of that fan. If it is not a fairly high spec static pressure fan with AT LEAST the same CFM and static pressure rating as the NF-A15 pwm fan that comes with the D15 then you should not use it as it would likely get worse performance than without it because it would adversely affect the performance of the A15 fan you would be using it WITH.

What is the exact model of the fan you want to use with it and are you intending to use it in the front location, middle location or at the rear of the heatsink?

I won't even make that difference. In fact, whether in front or located behind the A15 fan, it will likely REDUCE performance because that is a very cheap "included" fan. They don't include high quality fans with cases, for free. Ever. Not one case manufacturer does that. Every "included" fan is the cheapest of what that company has to offer, or at best, a still "lower quality" fan even for premium cases that come with "upgraded" fans. Still going to be very cheap and very cheap means low static pressure and in configurations where static pressure matters, as with heatsink or intake fans, also greatly diminished CFM or airflow rate.

I would not recommend using it. You will probably get better performance with JUST the single A15. Then, if you want to utilize a second fan because you feel like that potential 1-2°C difference is worth it to you, then add either another A15 fan or in my opinion the better option which is the NF-A14/A14 chromax.black.swap and to be honest I think using ONLY A14 fans results in a lower noise level, better airflow and for certain a much more tolerable "tone" or "pitch" from the fans when they are running at higher RPM.
