cpu cooling question ?

i put in a new cooler (CoolerMaster Hyper 212X CPU Cooler) and all goes well installed it put everything back to together and you can wiggle the cooler just a abit have i not installed it properly? i screwed it down does it need to wiggle a little for the thermal paste? im not to sure im a bit worried

How much thermal paste did you put on? You need to realise how much force you are putting on the cooler by wiggling from the top as it is tall. As long as it is making good contact its will be fine

ok never had a cooler like this like i put a dab in the middle of the cpu and let the heat sink spread it out is that right?

That is one of the recommended methods, are you sure that all four retaining screws are tightened all the way?
A slight wobble is normal in some cases, but it takes quite a bit of force.

yes i watched a video installing it and i read the instructions the four screws to hold it in place i screwed it all the way just a little worried never done something like this before

i started up the pc on bios where you can mointer the temps of everything and left it for 6 hours and come back and was the same temp i left it which was 43C celsius

43C idle isnt too bad, check it under load and as long as it dosent pas about 60-63C you are fine, higher, but fine.
