Hello everybody,

Would a ZALMAN CNPS7000B-ALCU 92mm CPU cooler be sufficient for a Q6600 Quad Core? I'm planning on building a computer with the Q6600 and a GeForce 8800GT and am wondering if the cooler would be good enough. If not, could it handle Duo Core at least?

At stock the Q6600 is fine with the intel stock cooler otherwise they wouldnt sell it with it. Anything adding to the cooling performance will undoubtably be better. Id suggest having a look at the Artic Freezer 7 as its cheap and easily to install.

I agree with chookman. If you are not planning on overlocking, then the stock fan is just fine, unless you live in the middle of the Sahara, of course :D

And what is your case like? If you have a front 80mm and a back 80mm and a PSU fan then you'll need a new case. You looking at a new GPU too? Then hope your case cooling is solid.
