Hello! First of all, my First lang is spanish, so... Sorry if I say something wrong. I have thhjjjjis issue with my cpu, is an intel i7 2600k, 16gb ram ddr3 and a gt 710. My Mobo is a intel DP67BG.
I had a problema before, my cpu wasnt using all cores, and it was so slow, when I looked ay my cpu usage it was like 100%. I fixed it with msconfig boot option with all cores.
But it seems like that 100% usage was on the core 0 cpu because it goes well with all cores But core 0 stills at 80% usage. I just installed win 7, with no apps and stills getting this problem.

In some games i have to disable core 0 from the task manager to stop FPS drops.
I downgraded and updated bios a few times and nothing changes:(

As you can see the task manager shows that cpu usage is at 9%~ but when you look at the monitor, only core 0 is at 80%.

Games like league of legends get hard frame drops using this core so I have to disable it. But other ones like gta V goes pretty well. I think its because they can use more than three cores.

I have setted up my windows update to stop searching for updates, that thing always gets tons of problems,
Install all security updates.
Stop windows update service first.
Install
Service Pack 1;
Convenience Rollup update
Updates listed here:
http://wu.krelay.de/en/2016-07.htm

Then start windows update and install all the remaining updates using automatic update.
Show task manager again but this time sorted by CPU usage not memory,we have to find out if there is maybe something running in the background that uses up core 0.

Also after installing windows it will check all files to see what needs updating and that will not show up in task manager, you should maybe wait a day or so until all the updates have been completed before trying to find any problems.

I have setted up my windows update to stop searching for updates, that thing always gets tons of problems, btw, i installed just a few important ones, and i tried updating to w10 with all updates and still getting this issue. look at this thread ----> "https://forums.tomshardware.com/thr...-bios-now-core-0-is-80-usage-at-idle.1441566/", i think it could be a Bios problem but i tried downgrading my bios version few times to different versions and nothing changes at all :( and there is no process using up that core. I just downloaded a program, "Daphne", to deliver processes usage to my other cores and "disable" core 0. This helped me a lot. It stills getting 80% but everything goes pretty better.
