Cpu core parking

Hi guys this is my build :
AMD FX-8350 4ghz
8.00GB ram
GeForce GTX 760 2 gb oc edition
1 ssd
1hdd
So i've heard that it would be best to unpark my cores.Would that make the performance on games better and if yes would it make any bad on my pc? i'd like to say that i have only 500w psu and im am running the stock cooler on the cpu, so would it be safe? and if i should do it could u please give me a program ?

It is a balance between performance and power consumption. The Windows settings are a little too aggressive, so you can adjust it. The performance difference will not be much though.
