Hello guys!
I was putting my system together today and when I got to the part where I install the heatsink on the CPU, I had some problems and after a bit of digging decided I would get a different CPU block. So I cleaned the thermal paste off of the CPU with 91% isopropel alcohol and a paper towel. Now the CPU is sitting in the motherboard inside the case while I wait for the new cooler to arrive.
Is this okay? Will it cause any harm or corrosion on the CPU? Should I take the CPU out and put it back in its box till the cooler gets here?
