Code:
Specs: x99 msi sli plus
i7 5820k
nvidia 770.
ram - crucial ddr4 2133

All this i recently bought a couple months ago, brand new

Story: I left computer on overnight like i usually do, when i woke up it was off. there was a power outage or some sort a few hours before i woke up (so i hear). no powersurge.

Anyways, i rma'd my motherboard to msi. just got it back today and its the same problem.
No video / signal, all my accessories (USB keyboard, mic, mouse ect) simply dont turn on. (mouse led flashes for a split second upon start up of computer then nothing.)

Before i rma'd my motherboard when i tried to start the computer, its restart loop after say 20 seconds, i believe corrupt bios, second backup bios didnt work. < this issue seems fixed.

Now- i turn on my computer and nothing, it stays on this time but no video, signal, or accessories work. HDD does spin up and fans all work.

-- Its not my gpu, 770 works perfectly fine in my other computer,
A backup cheap amd card also doesnt work, (But i know it does).

What could be the issue? or what steps can i take to further diagnose the problem?

Could it be the cpu? Ram?

(on another computer) Everything else works, Powersupply (tested on another build on myn) both gpus i tried work, hdd / ssds work, all accessories work, monitor works. I just dont know what it is.
AND YES EVERYTHING IS Plugged in right, nothing is lose or anything.

Hi,

do you hear the computer POST when you turn it on. If not, my guess would be the cpu.

As it says in an another thread here (http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-2488773/post-d...)

"If the CPU fan does spin and no beeps with only CPU and CPU fan installed, then it's a board or CPU issue. "

Hope this helps

there is no way to tell if it post. I have no video signal, no speaker. all i hear is a hdd spin up and the fans. everything else doesnt work

it should POST before it does anything else. Most times the mobo or chassis have a speaker for POST. Did it POST while it worked and your speakers were turned off?

scratch that, took out memory again and it beeps 3 times. so i guess it atleast knows what ram is

3 beeps when the RAM are removed, an no when they are placed in the mobo, right?

This could mean that the RAM are bad. It would be great if you could test the RAM in another build or borrow another ddr4 RAM and try if it works in your computer.

Correct. I dont have access to other hardware or anyone elses.

Msi says it should post beep, it doesnt though.
The board just got rma'ed and i was given a replacement. So unless i have one hell of shit luck, it couldnt be the motherboard.

Same as the ram, what is the likely hood of both ram sticks failing?
And the likely hood of the cpu being dead?
