Question CPU Debug Dilemma

I'm in a bit of a dilemma with my PC and looks like I've dug myself a deeper hole.

My 4-year-old self-assembled PC was working well until a few days ago when it started going black randomly during usage with the CPU debug light on the motherboard. Sometimes it would restart after a few minutes while other times I would have to do a hard restart. The black screens were very random. Sometimes seconds after logging in and sometimes hours. I followed this checklist but nothing seemed to work:

Also opened the cabinet, cleaned, reseated everything, changed the thermal paste etc, etc, but the problem would still occur. Then I read somewhere an outdated BIOS could be an issue so I decided to update. But here's where it got complicated. The black screen happened during the BIOS update and I knew I was cooked. Now obviously it doesn't boot at all and I've tried CMOS reset and it won't work. So finally I have decided to buy a new motherboard but I'm worried that my original problem (black screen CPU debug) would occur again if the CPU is indeed faulty. What are the chances for that to happen? How do I know whether the motherboard was originally at fault or it is the CPU?

PS: I don't know if this is helpful, but my PC was a little slow in the last few months and froze occasionally.

My config:

AMD Ryzen 3 3200G 2nd Generation
Msi B450M Pro-VDH Max Motherboard
Corsair CMK8GX4M1D3000C16 Desktop Ram Vengeance Lpx Series 8GB (8GBx2) DDR4 3000MHz
Corsair Spec-05 Red LED (ATX) Mid Tower Cabinet
Corsair VS450 SMPS - 450 Watt PSU With Active PFC
Western Digital Blue 1TB 7200 RPM Desktop Hard Drive
Adata Ultimate SU650 240GB 3D NAND Internal SSD

The new motherboard I'm planning to buy: ASRock B450M-Hdv R4.0 Socket Am4

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You don't. Other than actually testing both out in 2nd, compatible PC.

Oh my.... that's low quality PSU, borderline crap. And while you do not have dedicated GPU in there, still, using such a poor PSU is bad idea.

Heck, it could've been very well the PSU issue, where PSU sent out of specs voltages to the hardware, damaging them over time, until hardware started to throw errors (like the black screens you saw).

So, for you build, bare minimum i'd look at would be Corsair CX/CXm or Seasonic Core series, while Corsair RM/RMi/RMx or Seasonic Focus series would be much better off.

If this is your old motherboard that got bricked, then you could use a CH341A BIOS programmer to flash your BIOS chip.

If you think that the CPU you have is faulty, then drop in onto another known working motherboard with the right BIOS version(or the latest version) and see if the issue persists.

Goes without saying, courtesy of @Aeacus , you should invest in good hardware, if you want to hold onto them for a long while with peace of mind.
